| ovid-19 | |
|---|---|
| Following the global impact of'Covid-19' at the time ofapproving the hnancial statements the trustees had areasonable expectation |
that |
| the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to adopt |
the |
| going concern basis ofaccounting in preparing the financial statements. |
| unds | |
| Endowment funds represent those assets which must be held permanently by the charity, principally certain investments. Income arising |
| on the endowed assets can be used in accordance with the objects ofthe charity and is included as unrestricted income. Any capital |
| gains or losses arising on the investments are also included in unrestricted income. Investment management charges and legal advice |
| relating to the fund are charged against unrestricted funds. |
| Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the trustees for particular purposes and which are expected |
to |
| be paid out ofthe net current assets ofthe charity. | |
| Other charitable funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion ofthe trustees in furtherance ofthe general |
| objectives ofthe charity but which have not been designated for immediate payment. |
| coming resources | |
| All incoming resources are included in the Statement ofFinancial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income after any |
| performance conditions have been met, the amount can be measured reliably and it is probable that the income will be received. |
| For incoming donations to be recognised the charity will have been notified ofthe amounts and the settlement date in writing. Ifthere |
| are conditions attached to the donation and this requires a level ofperformance before entitlement can be obtained then income is |
| deferred until those conditions are fully met or the fulfilment ofthose conditions is within the control ofthe charity and it is probable |
| that they will be fulfilled. |
