**Objects:** TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE CITY OF BATH WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS,SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS.

**Activities:** To relieve Bath residents who are in need by making grants of between 50 and 350 GBP to those who have already exhausted all other sources of financial support.  Grants help to pay bills (but not tuition fees or rent arrears), provide carpets, second-hand furniture and appliances, school uniforms and other clothing.
