The Elizab&h Wright's Charity was founded under the Will of Elizabeth WrighL t*oved in l732. It has two
aim4 the relief of poverty and support in education.
Organlsallon and admlnlstratlon
The Truslees have a fornial meeting three timu a year with an AGM in ihe aulumn.
Durin8 the year the ttuste¢s are circulated regarding requests for grants.
Grant maklng poli¢y and Public Benefit
In 2024 the tTUStees a￿ced to provide granis to 43 applications, lotalling £38.604.
Grants were made in the following categories-
£16,500 for the relief of povaty. This includal £6(XM) lo Wisbeth Food bank and £25(J) to the
Fenland Family and Baby bank.
£12,104 to support educalion.
£7.500 for public b¢n¢fit in ihe communily. This includal £5.(KKJ to the Rob¢rt Hall Centr<
£l,(M)O to Wisbcch Sl Mary F.C. community proj¢ct. £15￿ to Wisbech Strok¢ Club.

The t￿￿teeS have the authority to vary ihe forni of inv&stment of the Funds pemian¢nt endowment by virtue
of powerts granted by the T￿￿¢¢¢ Acl 2(KKI.
Most of the pern]anent ¢ndowm¢nt of th¢ Fund r¢mains invested in agricultural land which was part of ihe
original endowmcnt of Elizabeth Wrighi. The tsuste¢s undertake an annual land visit and review with the
land agen¢.
The greater prow)rtion of the rentsining balaftce of the endowment is represented by a holding of shares in a
COIF Charity Investment Fund which yidds a quart¢rly dividend.

Reserves poll¢y
During the year ended 31. De¢ernb￿ 2024. the total net income of the Charity was £47,451 of which
£42,951 was expended in accordance with its objecis and the SUTplus of £4.500 has been added to the
reserves. The mov¢ment in th¢ rnaTk¢t value of investments atnountin8 10 £28.416 increased in th¢
unrestricted and the increase in land value £531.392 has be¢n add￿ to the Endowmeni fund. The 1rust￿S
are aware of the ¢u)Teni level of Generdl RcseTV&S and will look lo further distribute fvnds in accordance
with th¢ir aims durin8 the coming years.

The Tn￿tee$ are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with re￿onable
accuracy at any lime the fina￿la1 position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the Financial
Statements comply with the Chariti¢5 Act 2011('the Act.). They are also responsible foT safeguarding the
assels of the Charity and h¢nc¢ for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and
other irregularities.
