Aetivrties And Achievements Recipients Referrals are made to assisi with the urchase of medical equipment, furniture. electrical (M)ds and special cfothing together with respite care wh¢n need￿ for amilies or individuals who have both a clearly identifiable maical need and an obvious financial need. Requests aTe refused if the NHS or other public funds should rovide these items. A small nUM￿r of requests for respite care in the onn of nursery laces for children will be fimded where there is special need. Referr s will also be considered for h¢] for healthcare prof¢ssionals' rovidin help for course fees, b(x)ks an special equipment nol norn]air rovi the NHS. This discretiorw assislance will be limited to cit cr half the Course fee or £300, whichever is deemed appropriate by the trustees. Grants awarded this year have b¢en given to Purch￿ domestic Lplianccs, beds. floormg. Car seats, adapted furniture and specialisl ment together with respite in the fonn of nursery play sch¢mes. &¢ have continued to supply a large numkr of extra-large Speciall￿ pushchairs. Overall, the level of gtants awarded this y¢arare approximately the same &8 l&st year.
