**Objects:** BENEFIT OF THE SICK POOR OF PORTSMOUTH AND SOUTH EAST HAMPSHIRE DISTRICT OF THE HAMPSHIRE AREA HEALTH AUTHORITY.  TO IMPROVE CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF NURSES EMPLOYED IN THE NURSING SERVICE.  (FOR DETAILS SEE CLAUSE 9 OF THE SCHEME OF 11TH DECEMBER 1956).

**Activities:** The Charity provides help to the sick or disabled who are in financial need. Grants may be made to purchase among other items, equipment, special clothing, help with energy bills and respite care. Support is also given to the Community Nurses  by providing help with training courses, books and special equipment not normally funded by the NHS.
