**Objects:** (1) THE ALMSHOUSE BRANCH; SUCH LAND AND BUILDINGS BELONGING TO THE CHARITY FROM TIME TO TIME TO BE USED AS ALMSHOUSES FOR THE ACCOMODATION OF RESIDENTS WHO SHALL BE PERSONS IN NEED WHO (EXCEPT IN SPECIAL CASES TO BE APPROVED BY THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS) ARE INHABITANTS OF THE AREAS OF BENEFIT.                 (2) RELIEF IN NEED BRANCH; TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREAS OF BENEFIT WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS. THE AREA OF BENEFIT MEANS THE POSTAL CODE AREAS OF GL50, GL51, GL52 AND GL53 WITH PREFERENCE RETAINED FOR THOSE LIVING FIRSTLY IN PRESTBURY AND SECONDLY IN SWINDON VILLAGE OR SOUTHAM.
