is professionally Inanaged. Income accrued during any finan¢ial year is not
available for distribution untll after the end of that year. As stated in the trust
deed. the net income. after management expenses, is distributed between
the Ecclesia5tl¢al Fund and the Edutration818nd Relief Fund on a 409A-60Yo
basls.
For this reporting year. the Trustees have opted to report under the
Receiptq and Payments basis, as this saves money for the Charty. and
allows for a more st￿Ight-fO￿ard report.

Objectives .and activities
1.The Education and Relief Fund {600/0} which provides financial support
for the advancement Df education, for the sick and needy and for serwices
provided by local organis8tions and institutions within the old parish of
Almondsbury.

.2. The Ecclesiastical Fund {40Yo) which contributes to the repair and
maintenanca of the fabric of the five named churches as well 8$ furthering
the rellgious and charftable work of the Church of England within the area
of bènofit.
The Trustees are also requlred to hold an Extra Ordinary Relief 8nd
Building fund to provlde for any unexpected and urgent repairs, the
restoration or rebulldlng or refurbishing of any church or olher Pla￿ of
religious worship attended by members of the Churth of England in the
area'of benèfit.
Prior to each meeting Trustees are remlnded of thg guidance issued by
the Charity Commission relating to publlc benefit. The Charity fulfils its
Charitable purposes for public b8n8flt through its grant making policy. In
awarding grants the trustees endeavour to ensure that as many indivlduals
and organlsations as possible are helped. In particular the trustees are
always pleased to receive applications from the elderfy who are in need
8nd Clubs and orgartisatiDns which cater for the social wellbelng of senior
citizens. Appll¢at5ons are also wethmed from young people to enable
them to further their education or participate in extracurricular or

During the year grants made totalled £26,190 compared with £10,060 in 2022-2023. However, the costs of

Under the tems of the trust deed'Trustees are required to malntaln an Extraordinary Repair and Building
Fund to defray the cost of unexpeded arld urgent repairs to any of the five ¢hurches in the are8 of benefit
No grants were made from this fund durin9 the P6flod Odober 2023 to September.2024. At the erKI of
September 2024 the valup.was £ 21,835 compared with £19,504 al the end of the previous year.
Three of the five churches are ecumenical and it18 expected that thelr partner dénominations wlll contribute to
. their gener81 upkeep. Therefore, as the demands are small it is'assumed that the capital growth will be
sufficient to meet requirements. At present the TTUStoes do not consider It ne￿$sary lo transfer any of the,
Charlty's annual income into the Extraordinary Fund, Income from the Extraordinary Fund Is shared
between the Dlher two funds.
