**Objects:** (A) TO RELIEVE IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES (I) MEMBERS OF THE FUND (II) WIDOWS AND CHILDREN OF DECEASED MEMBERS OF THE FUND (III) WIDOWED MOTHERS OF DECEASED MEMBERS OF THE FUND FORMERLY SUPPORTED BY SUCH MEMBERS (B) TO RELIEVE IN CASES OF EXTREME NECESSITY MEMBERS AND PENSIONER MEMBERS OF THE DORSET POLICE  AND THEIR DEPENDANTS AND OTHER POLICE PENSIONERS RESIDENT IN THE FORCE AREA (C) TO CO-OPERATE WITH THE GURNEY FUND IN SECURING BENEFIT FOR CHILDREN OF MEMBERS AND PENSIONERS OF THE DORSET POLICE.
