In OGlober the twstees agroed a po&cy for the relettlng of charfty propgrti8s. It was agreed that our managing
agents. Carter Jonas, would hold a regisleT of intere51 of residents1￿$ldÈnts. families interesled in renting a Charity
property. This would be COTnmunicaled through About Eversholl. Those on the register would then be given first
option when a property becomes available before advert15ing. There would not be any sele¢tK*n criteria us8d. A
notification of 8vailabEe property wwld also be placed ￿10 the village WhatsApp group.
During 2023 Iruslees became involved wtth an &n8rgy project 'Greens3nd Community Energy Group, and
Communty Energy South in developing ¢arbon saving inf(iatives within local cL)mmuntbes. This inclLkled funding
our Village Agent, Lyzzig, lo attend a course on energy efficienclgs lo assist with her work around the W¢llbeing
Third. The Iruslees continue lo engage with th• project which is researching solar and community heating schemes
both in règards to the Chaiities estate trMI also the wider Eversholl community. The key themes are..

water.
A particular area of con¢em related lo Ihe use of the car park by no￿p￿tron$ and the impact that h8$ on the wear
and tèar of the surfacing. Both the tenants and trustees ￿maIn keen that the car park ￿MaInS acLessible lo all.

H8*ing been let lo the same indiwdual fof more than 40 years. this Property became v8￿nI in March with that
len8nt mowng lo altèrnative accommodation. An amount of relurbishmenl and red0￿ratIon was undertaken durirvJ
the late Sprng ￿th the property advertised for re-let in June. A nèw tenanl took residence in August.

recent year8.

This is our most active Third wlih much effort pul Sn by a number of Iruslee8 and olher10¢81 volunteors. we are so
gralaful for their kindness, lime and varled conlrfbulions.
In 2023 a total of 22 residents received an award of £250 each from the Wellbging Third. In addition to th9$9
dividual award$ the Charity also funded.

The Charity ¢onlinued tts commitment the Village Agent scheme led by Llzzie B8mieoat. Lizzie continued to be very
busy and remains conlra¢lgd lo us for 12 hours per rnonlh. Lrlzie offers a very valuable frièndly, Islening ear and
has distributed varTrtsus pr8eti&ql aids to help around the home and referrals to Communty Transport semces to
increase independence. Lizzie also compiles and edits 'About Eversholt..
Llzzl• Lunchva
The Lunch Club eonlinues to b8 well attended. gralefrjl th8nks as a￿ayS lo those who volunteer th￿r time.
Feedback remains positive as a￿ayS with it be¢ng great to see new faces still e￿n wlth the group being so
a$tablish8d.
Ch•SrYoga Class
The aim of these dasses are to help people wilh balanc* and some strength. increase mobility and flexibility, holp
avoid fa115 al0￿S￿e an inuea5ed ch8n¢g for wciolisatiori and lo have fun.
The dasses ragularly atlract around 20 attend8es from Evershott and surrounding ￿lIages. A session for m*n want
very well with 19 8ttond•*$.
Trustees attended an ￿ethIng hoslad by Be Active Group (CBC) who funded the classes through the year. Pr*)r lo
th• evèning BeActive attended a 8ession. intemewèd participants and made a short film.

We recefved and agreed Further Education Awards to 12 indivmluals of £400 eadb folbwing r￿elp1 of their written
applications, cheque$ wwe raisod, signed and sent to those individuals. These Further Education Award
applulions are required to be received by th8 Clerk prior lo August 3151 of any yèar for consideration.
An'Annual Dlsuelionary Award, of £5.4S0.00 was made tg Evaisholt Lower School and £250 loAbout Eversholl.
The frustees received tsyo updale5 from the Ever5holt Lower Sehool Chair of Governors during 2023. in F¢bruary
and again in August. We weie updated on how the Annual Discretionary Award has benefrted the seJ)ool Bnd
played ils part in maintaining su¢h a vital villagè asset We were reminded of what challenging times schools such
as our5 are in. both in temis of their finances and constant discussions about the ie51ruduring of local education
provision. The Iruslees were gratelul for the updates and ieiteratèd how proud as a ¢tsmmunity wè ¥e of what the
school has #chieved. ￿ did note the use of the Green Man car parto as being an issue for the pub I￿antS as the
added wear contributes to the amoynt of ropair and maintenance iequiied.

labric of the church and churthy8rd.
Tha trustees will continue to efficientty manage the estatè wlth the assistance of the managing agènts and

renewable gnergy proj&Lts aThJ development projeds abngside the relurbi$hment of propèty as necessary.
We intend lo continue wlth the varied prograrnme of Wgllbging Third activities and we arp ktren lo tmaden
attendance lo connect with as wÉde a d•mographK from our community a$ possible.
Led by our Village Agent. Iheie continues lo be a good flow of new referrals and existing dienls needing support
with a broad ranga of items. wlh some tsking time to come to the conclusion that filling a forni in or taking that next
step lo getting Support is relevant to their circumslan¢os.
We also lo continue supportlng Eversholt Lower School and residents undertaknng further education.

The financial slalemenls have bgen prepared in accordance with the Charitie5 SORP IFRS 1021- Accounting
and Reporting by Charities.. Ststèmènt of Rècommanded Practice applicable lo ¢harities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Iroland
{FRS 1021 lefftr¢tive 1 January 2019), the Financial Reporting Stsndard appli¢abl8 in the UK and Republi¢ of
Irèland <FRS 1021 thè Charities Act 2011.
Th8 finan¢i81 ststements have been prepared to give a 'lrue and fair view and have departed from t
Charitiès IAcLounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only lo the extent required to provide a Irue and lairf view.
This departurè has involved following the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 pub118hed in 2019 rather than

are initially recognised at historical cost or transaciion value unless otherwise staled in the relevant

The financial statèmènts ar8 prepared in sterling, which is the fund￿n¥1 wrrency of thè Charity. Monetary
amounts sn t￿$8 financial statements are rourKled to th• nearest £.
Thè financial statemgnls have been prepared under Ihg hi$tori¢al ¢o$l eonvantton. Th8 principal accounting
polici85 adopted are sel out below.
1.2 Golng ¢onG8m
Al the timè of approwng the financbal statements, the Trustees have a reasonable oxpectalion that tho Charity
has adequate rÈsour(*s to continu8 in operational existence for the foresèaable fijlure. Thus the Tw5tees
Gontinue lo adopt the going concern basis of accounknng in prepating the financ481
statements.
1.3 Charitable funds
General ftjnds are unrèstricted funds which are available for use at the diSc￿￿On ol the Trustees in
fvrthefan￿ of the general objectNes of tho Charity and which have nol been desvjnatgd foi olhor purposes.
Designated funds comprise unrestricted fund5 that have been set aside by the Trustee5 foi parb"¢ular
purposes. The aim and us¢ of each designated fund is sel out in the notes lo the financial stat•ments.
Restricted funds are funds which 8rB lo b¥ uwd in aecordance wilh specific restrictions imposed by donors or
whl¢h have been raised by the Chartiy foi parti¢uLqr purpos•s. The costs of raising and administering such
funds are char98d against the specifK fund. The aim and use of eath restricted fijnd is set out in the noltr8 to
the financial $l81oments.

Expendrture is re¢ogni$èd once there is a le9al or constructive obligation to transfer economic benoffit to a
third party, it ts probable that a transfer of e¢onomic bènefits will be required in settlement and the amount of
the obltgalion Gan be measured reliably. Expenditure is dassified by a¢tivity. The costs of each actmty are
madè up of the total of d1￿cl costs and shared costs, induding support Costs involved in undertaking each
activity. Dir¢¢t ¢osts attributable to a single activity are allocated directty to that aclivily. Shared ¢osl$ whi¢h
