The trustees present thelr report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024 for Eton
Artion (charity nurnber 2582471.
The flnanclal statements have beeh prepared in accordance wlth the accounting policies set out on pages 9 and
10 therein and comply with the tharlt(s Trust Deed, applicable law5and the requirements of FRS 102, Charitle5
SORP IFRS 1021 and Charlties Act2011. There have been no changes In the policiesadopted by the charlty durlng

Status and adminlstration
Eton Artlon was founded as a charity regulated under a Trust Deed dated 1968. Eton Action is registered as an
unincorporated charity in England and Wales under the (harity Commission reference number 258247. The
trustees are responsible for the adrnintstration and decisions of Eton ktion in accordance with the Trust Deed.

The trustees have adopted the accountlng policies recommetided in the Charities SORP IFRS 1021. The trustees
confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission's general guidance on
public benefit when reviewing the t¥usYs airns and objectives and in planning fvture actiwties.
Donatlons
Donations ère made in accordance wtththe chariivsobjectwes. At an amual meeting in February the cornmittee
select a 5horrlistof charities t05UPPOrt forthe comiTrgyear, frorn applications and good causes proposed by Eton
pupils. The chosen causes are then subject to a vote by the pupils. Thetotal amounts collected in the year are
dIst￿buted evealy amongst the five ¢h05en charities.
Theie 15 a programme of annuèl fundraising events throughout the School year, occa5ion311y ad hoc events may
take place for specific causes, these events and causes are Usually decided by the pupils ol Eton College and then
approved by a trustee.
Volunteers
Pupils and staff at Eton college￿lunteer atfundraising events. Key matugerneTht personnel are also volunteers.
Achievements and performance
Eton Action continues to be gratefijl for all donations received thrOuth￿t the year. The Autumn fair taised
E31,713. In 2023 the Sprin8 farr (deferred from 20221 raised £30.630 whilstthe Autumn fair raised £30.580.
The Eion Action 'mufti' day ratsed £3.27812023- £3.1351 for Slough Me￿ap. The boy5 and stafl pay a small fee
to attend school in infomal dress.
Boy5 are involved in each event that is held by Eton Action. It is a good oFyortuThityto promote philanthropyand
for the boy5 to use their energy to raise as much money as possible to be d¢Jnated io eood causes.

Reserves policy
Unrestricted fvnds
Unrestricted funds whFch, at 31 December 2024. amount￿1 to £16.13412023= £15,788) have been restritted
to a particular purpose by the donors. The unrestricted fun¢Js comprise the general fund which is the working
fund of the charity- It is not tied or designated for use for a particular ordefined purpose. The unrestricted funds
can be Spent on any charttable purpose in accordance wtth the objects of the charity as the trustees see fit.
The unrestricted fund must provide forthe net deficit of any attNitiesthat have inadequate income oftheir own
and for the general adrninistralion of the chariry. It also provides working capital for operation5 and helps to
provide resources to ensvrethat the charitycan continue with Its obligations intheevent of a shortfall in Incotne
or unexpected uptuin in expenditure.
The trustees aiyn to keep a minimal level of reserves as all raised funds a￿ donared as soon as possible. The level
of reserves 15 considered adequate for the chartty to continue opeiating lor the foreseeable fijture. 2024
Risk assessment
The major risks to which the charity is exposed, as identtfied by the tnJstee5. have been reviewed and system5
and controls have been established to mitlgate these risk>
Future Plans
The chariWs future plans include running the annual events listed above and continuin8 to support Iharitable
causes, whi15t encoufasang Eton pupils. personal development.
Going concern
The trustees have a reasonable expectation that the chartfy has adequ*e resouwce5 to cOntin￿e in operational
existence for the fo￿Seeable future. No material ￿￿[ertaintIes in relationtothe abilityof the charityto continue
on a going concern ba515 have been identified by the trustees. Thus, they continue to adopt the going concer
basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.

accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Prartice (United Kingdom

The financlal statements have been prepared ID accordance wr(h Charities SORP IFRS1021 applicable to
charities preparing their accounts in ac(ordante with the Financial RepDrtin8 Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland and the Charities Att 2011 and the UK GenerallyAccepted Practi￿.
The financial staternents have been prepared to give a 'true and fairf VEW and have departed frorn the Charities
(Account5 and Reports) Regulations 2tX)8 only to ihe extent requir￿ to provide a 'true and fair vieW. This
departure has Involved following Accounting and Reporting by charit￿5 prepariTrB their accounts in accordance
with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republicof Ireland IFRS 1021 issued on I6ju￿ 2014
rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charitie5'. Statement of Recommended Practice effectivefrom l April
2CX)5 which has since been withdrawn.

The trustees have a reaSona￿e expectation that the charFty has adequate re50urce5 to conttnue in operatlonal
existence for the foreseeèble future. No material uncertainties ￿lat￿)n to the ability of the charity to continue
on a going conceffl basis have been identsfied by the trustee5. Thus, they continue to adopt the going concem
basis of accountin8 in prepartng the finanoal statements.
Income
All incorne is reco8ni5ed once the chanty has entitlement to the Inco￿￿, it is probable that the income will be
re£eived and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
Donations are recognised on receipt unless Eton Attion h35 been t)otified in writiThg of both the amount and
settlement date.
Other Irading activities include income generated through fundrais4n8 *ents hosted by Eton Acrlon ènd incorne
15 recognised on a receipts basis.
Expenditure
All expenditure 15 accounted loi in the Statement of Finanoal Activtties in the period to which the cost relate5.
Expenditure is classified into expense care8ories based on the nature of the cost incuried. Donations are
accounted foT in the period in which they are made or once the donationhas been cornmunicated to a third party.
The policy lor making donations is detailed in the Trustees. report.
Governance costs
Governance costs comprise all costs Ident￿led as wholly or mainty attrkntable to en5vri￿g public 3uountabllity
of the charity and its cornpliance wtth regulation. being e¥temal audit ￿$ts. These costs have been met by Eton
College and are nol re-charged.
