appointed by members of The Rotary Club of Famham by resolution. It is a requirement for a trustee to

appointing trustees. Members be sounded out regarding wllingness to act as a trustee. When a
person agreed lo a tnBtee this V•Duld be considered by the club council and recommended to

people in need.
The club may fr￿ time to time agree ￿ The Rotary Club of Famham Wey&de to j(xndy raise fuThts for
an agreed project ￿'ectiVe a￿or charity. It may ￿s0 agree V•ith another RGBI Club or overseas club lo
achieve an agreed objective.
The trustees have not identrfied any maior risks to vthich tharrty could bg exwsed. The accounts of
The Benevolent Fund are exami￿1 annuatly by an Indep￿nt examiner. The bank account is separate
from those of The Rotsry Glub of Famham.

No finana￿ objectives are set for Ihe chwity. There is no sthidiary undertaking of the chwity.
The tKesiderrt of The Rotary Club of Famham may nominate charities for fund raising during hislher lemi
ol office. Suggestions lo award olher grants are made by meM￿rS of the dub. This may be as a result of
a request from a person for a specific ot¥'eclive. Agreed requests are SU￿Itted lo the club Council, and if
the Council agrees, put lo the members accepled or rejected by majority vote * a business meeting.
Aller the collection dates have been tx)oked wth the lcd auth￿lty. (kcisions are made for the all¢)calion
ol funds Irc*m street collections to charities by the club.

Ouring the 12 month period ended 30 June 2025. the Club has raised a gross amourrt of over £26,377
Iversus £25,688 in the kyevious yearl by fund-raigng activibes volunlary donations trom members.
(￿er £13,000 has been distritrKrted to 15 charitable causes. The cost of fundrasiTrJ in Ihe year rose from
£71 CQ. to £7.558.

The club also Taised arKI is holding. at the dale of the balance sheet, £2392 towards the global grant lo
be awarded towards the cost ol extending and utKJrading the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
The dub suworted a GOW Day in Septern￿r 2024 for the Phyllis Twkwell Hospice and raised £1262 by
holding a raffle and donating a prize to the auction (donations by pa￿cipants were F)aid direcuy to the
charity concerned and do not therefo￿ aF4)ear in these a(xounls).

With the club raffle arKI auction during a Club Gow Day in June 2025 raigng arfjroximatety £5300, total
charilabfre donations made by the club during the year through the Rotary Club of Farnham Benevolent
Fund were therefore in excess of £13.lJ)O IPY £12,CWl. The twstees consider that, follo￿ng the disrupt-
ive years of the pandemic and a tal in dub mernt￿r$hlp. a recanl irKrease in fund-raisiTrJ is enGouragiThJ

The accounts are set out on pages 7-9. The activtiies for generaliTh3 funds aro set out on page 9 of these
accounts. Income is raised by members of The Rotary Club of Farnham and a few unpaid volunleers.

The revenues are used to meet the needs of ￿t￿Mever or vthaterfer is deemed necessary by the
members of The Rotary Club of Famham trustaos frcm time to time. There is no dèficit in lh•
fund. The tharity is content *ith low bank balances in the knovthedge that funds raised have been
distribuied In accordance ￿￿th the *ishes of the In￿ees, members of The Rotary Club of Famham a￿1 in
accordance V•ith the trust deed.
