Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are - To Promote, For The Benefit Of The Public, The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Of The Community Garden In Tyne And Wear By Enhancing Biodiversity. To Provide Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation For The Public Benefit By Providing An Area For Use As A Community Garden And Other Activities For Individuals In Tyne And Wear And The Surrounding Area, Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 And Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
