Ellacombe Church CIO is restoring and bringing back into use the Grade II listed Christ Church building in Ellacombe. The charity will provide a Christian place of worship and a welcoming community hub, offering facilities, services and activities that support local residents, strengthen community life and help relieve poverty and disadvantage in Torbay.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:the Promotion For The Benefit Of The Public Of Urban Regeneration In Ellacombe, Torquay, Being An Area Of Social And Economic Deprivation, By All Or Any Of The Following Means:(a) The Preservation, Restoration And Maintenance Of Buildings Or Sites Of Historic Or Architectural Importance;(b) The Advancement Of Education, Training And Skills Development, Particularly Amongst Those Who Are Unemployed, Socially Excluded Or Otherwise Disadvantaged;(c) The Provision Of Facilities And Services For Persons Who Are In Conditions Of Need By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life;(d) The Provision Of Recreational And Community Facilities For The Public At Large Or Those Who, By Reason Of Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances, Have Need Of Such Facilities; And(e) Such Other Charitable Means As May From Time To Time Be Determined By The Trustees.
