Activities
Leah's little sunflowers supports children and young adults aged (0-25) affected by cancer and their families by providing emotional and practical support, respite breaks, occasional grants and raising awareness of rare cancers such as Ewing sarcoma. We work with families, hospitals and partner organisations throughout England.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO, To Be Carried Out For The Public Benefit In England, Are: 1) To Advance Health And Save Lives, In Particular Among Children And Young People, By Promoting Awareness And Understanding Of Cancer, Including (But Not Limited To) Rare Cancers Such As Ewing Sarcoma, With The Aim Of Supporting Earlier Recognition, Diagnosis And Access To Appropriate Support And Treatment.2) To Relieve The Needs Of Children And Young People Under The Age Of 25 Affected By Cancer, And Their Families And Carers, Arising From The Emotional, Physical And Financial Impacts Of The Condition, In Particular By: A) Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Short-Term Therapeutic Respite Breaks In Appropriately Adapted Accommodation; B) Providing Emotional And Practical Support, Including Peer Support, Advice, Information And Signposting To Relevant Services; And C) Making Grants Of Financial Assistance To Individuals, And To Organisations That Directly Support Children And Young People With Cancer, Or Their Families And Carers, To Help Address The Challenges And Impact Of Cancer Treatment, Recovery Or Bereavement.
