Activities

Domestic Abuse WA12 was founded to help preventing domestic abuse and empower victim-survivors, children and families to recover, rebuild and thrive. Lived experience is at the heart of everything we do, and our organisation has grown into an innovative, trauma-informed service that bridges the gap between crisis intervention and long-term recovery across the communities of St Helens.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO To Be Carried Out For The Public Benefit In The Area Covered By The Wa12 Postcode District, Are:(1) To Relieve The Needs Of Women Who Are Experiencing, Or Who Have Experienced, Or Who Are At Risk Of, Domestic Abuse, Including Their Children, By:(a) Providing Counselling, Advice, Information, Advocacy, Emotional And Practical Support, Refuge Accommodation And Referrals To Specialist Services To Promote The Health, Safety And Recovery Of Such Beneficiaries; And(b) Raising Awareness Of Domestic Abuse And The Support Available Through Training, Outreach And Educational Resources.(2) The Prevention And Relief Of Poverty By The Provision Of A Food Bank And Community Kitchen For Individuals In Financial Need, Including But Not Limited To Women Who Are Experiencing, Or Who Have Experienced, Or Who Are At Risk Of, Domestic Abuse And Their Children.
