Activities
SSAGO provides administrative and financial support for affiliated clubs at Students' Unions. SSAGO runs events for it's members to meet up and gain experience of running large events. SSAGO supports events run by Scouts and Girlguiding by providing volunteers and planning support for their programme. SSAGO facilitates volunteering with local scout or guide units.
Objects: 3.1 To Promote The Education And Development Of Students In Higher Education In Achieving Their Full Physical, Intellectual, And Social Potentials As Individuals And As Responsible Citizens And Members Of Their Local, National And International Communities, In Particular By: 3.1.1 Acting As An Umbrella And Resource Body For Member Student Scout And Guide Clubs At Higher Education Institutions; 3.1.2 Delivering Social, Cultural, And Recreational Activities, And Forums For Discussion And Debate, Directly For Students Regionally, Nationally, And Internationally; And 3.1.3 Enriching And Enhancing The Educational And Social Experience Of Students And To Provide Opportunities For Members To Develop Their Personal Maturity, Leadership, And Communication And Other Skills.3.2 To Promote The Efficiency And Effectiveness Of Charities, And To Promote The Effective Use Of Resources For Charitable Purposes By Charities And Non-Charitable Bodies, With A Particular Focus On Student Scout And Guide Clubs And Affiliated Scout And Guide Bodies, By: 3.2.1 Providing Administrative Support, Guidance, Financial Assistance And Other Resources; 3.2.2 Working With And Supporting The Scout Association, The Guide Association, The Scout And Guide Graduate Association, Students’ Unions, Organisations With Similar Objectives And Affiliated Bodies; And 3.2.3 Facilitating Volunteering Opportunities Within Scouting And Guiding Groups.
