Objects: 1. Purposesthe Charity Exists To Further The Following Charitable Purposes:1.1 To Advance Human Rights (And In Particular The Human Rights Of People Affected By Conflict) As Set Out In The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights, The International Covenant On Civil And Political Rights, And Subsequent United Nations Conventions And Declarations And Other International Treaties And Laws; 1.2 To Advance Adherence To International Humanitarian Law As Set Out In The Geneva Conventions And Subsequent Protocols And Conventions, Particularly As International Humanitarian Law Relates To People Affected By Conflicts; And 1.3 To Advance Any Other Charitable Purpose As The Trustees May Decide From Time To Time. In Each Case Primarily (But Without Limitation) By Providing Support (Financial And Otherwise) To Organisations With Similar Aims, And - With Respect To 1.1 And 1.2 - Such Support Being Provided To Organisations Undertaking Some Or All Of The Following:• Monitoring Abuses Of Human Rights;• Obtaining Redress For Victims Of Human Rights Abuse;• Relieving Need Among Victims Of Human Rights Abuse;• Research Into Human Rights Issues;• Providing Technical Advice To Government And Others;• Contributing To The Sound Administration Of Human Rights Law;• Commenting On Proposed Human Rights Legislation;• Raising Awareness Of Human Rights Issues;• Promoting Public Support For Human Rights;• Promoting Respect For Human Rights Among Individuals And Corporations;• International Advocacy Of Human Rights;• Eliminating Infringements Of Human Rights.in Furtherance Of The Above Objects But Not Otherwise, The Trustees Shall Have Power To Engage In Political Activity Provided That IT Is Undertaken Only To Further The Charitable Purposes And Is Not A Purpose In Itself.
