Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are, For The Benefit Of Individuals Living In Any Area In Which A Group Member Is Providing Housing Or Other Services, To:1. Prevent Or Relieve Poverty Or Financial Hardship Including (But Not Exclusively) By Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Housing, Education, Training, Advice And By Providing Grants To Individuals Or Charitable Projects Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty;2. Develop The Capacity And Skills Of The Members Of Any Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Community In Such A Way That They Are Better Able To Identify, And Help Meet, Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society;3. Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life; 4. Advance Health In Particular, But Not Exclusively, By Providing Healthy Food, Encouraging People To Make Healthy Food Choices And Encouraging People To Be Physically Active; 5. Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society.for The Purpose Of This Clause ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Part Of Society, As A Result Of Being A Member Of A Socially And Economically Deprived Community.
