Activities
Blind Justice UK supports people who face the courts without a lawyer. We assess their cases, organise their evidence and help them prepare their own documents, free of charge. We also research how the justice system treats unrepresented people, and our findings have been published by the Justice Select Committee. We work nationally from Brighton. We do not provide legal advice or representation.
Objects: 1. To Advance Education For The Public Benefit In The Fields Of Law And Justice As IT Relates To Civil Proceedings In England And Wales, In Particular (But Not Exclusively) By:• Increasing Public Understanding Of The Operation Of The Civil Court System In England And Wales, Including Court Procedures, Legal Terminology And The Practical Steps Involved In Legal Proceedings;• Promoting And Conducting Research Into The Operation And Administration Of The Civil Court System, And Publishing The Useful Results Of Such Research In A Neutral And Evidence-Based Manner To Improve Public Knowledge And Understanding;• Delivering Educational Events, Lectures And Seminars To Support Learning And Debate About Access To Justice And The Functioning Of The Legal System.2.
