ActivitiesThe organisation's activities include:1. **Promoting social inclusion** * Supporting people who are socially excluded because of their ethnic origin, religion, belief, or creed, particularly members of the Sudanese community.2. Community networking and engagement * Providing a local network group to help Sudanese community members .

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:- (1) To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With People In The Oldham Borough And Surrounding Areas Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief Or Creed (In Particular, Members Of The Sudanese Community) To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them To Integrate Into Society, In Particular By: (A) Providing A Local Network Group That Encourages And Enables Members Of The Sudanese Community To Participate More Effectively With Each Other And The Wider Community. (B) Providing Or Arranging Provision Of Education And Classes In Esol And Other Languages Which Enable The Sudanese Community To Communicate With Each Other And The Wider Community. (C) Providing Help And Support For The Relief Of Refugees And Asylum Seekers From Sudan Who Are Resident Or Intending To Reside In Oldham And The Surrounding Areas By Keeping And Making Available To Such Persons Literature, Leaflets, Information And Contact Details For Organisations And Agencies That Can Support With Issues Such As Asylum, Welfare Benefits, Housing, Health, Education Training And Employment. (2) The Advancement Of Education Of The General Public In Oldham And The Surrounding Areas Concerning Sudan's Present, History, Culture And Heritage.
