The charity has been established to promote ongoing engagement of the community with the Maison Dieu in Dover, through arranging heritage focused events and other related activities. The Friends will also provide a volunteering resource to support the management of the building, and the promotion of it's heritage, assisting in raising funds to support it's ongoing maintenance and restoration.

Objects: The Object Of The Friends Shall Be:to Support And Assist In The Preservation And Improvement Of The Grade I* Listed Building Maison Dieu (Dover Town Hall), In Dover For The Benefit Of The Public,and The Promotion Of Its Use By The Public Through The Activities Of The Group Of Friends.
