Soroptimist International of Medway & Maidstone (SIMM) are involved in campaigningand fundraising to support and educate women and girls on safety, healthcare andhealthy relationships.
Objects: 1 To Promote Either Directly Or By The Encouragement And Support Of Others Including Clubmembers:(a) The Advancement Of Education;(b) The Advancement Of Health And Saving Lives;(c) The Relief And/or Prevention Of Poverty;(d) The Advancement Of Good Citizenship And Community Development;(e) The Advancement Of Human Rights (As Set Out In The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights Andsubsequent United Nations Conventions And Declarations) Throughout The World By All Or Any Of Thefollowing Means;(i) Relieving Need Among Victims Of Human Rights Abuse;(ii) Research Into Human Rights Redress E.g. Modern Day Slavery;(iii) Educating The Public About Human Rights Abuse, Raising Awareness Of Human Rights Issues, Andpromoting Support For Human Rights;(iv) The Advancement Of Equality And Diversity.2 To Promote Volunteering In Furtherance Of The Objects Set Out In 1 Amongst Individual Clubmembers And Members Of The Public.in Each Case (1 And 2 Above) For The Benefit Of The Public Across The World And In Particular For The Benefitof Women And Girls To Advance Their Status, Position And Role In Society Where Currently Unequal Ordisadvantaged (?The Objects?).
