Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are For The Benefit To Preserve And Protect Good Heath For The Public Benefit By Organising Educational Activities, Developing Literature And Disseminating Current British Surgical Guidelines & Practices; For The Benefit Of Surgeons And Patients From Common Wealth And Middle-Eastern Countries, In Accordance With The Principles Of Royal Colleges Of Surgeons Of United Kingdom And Ireland So As To Advance Surgical Education. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 And Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
