Activities

Our Abbey provides a Warm Hub in the Abbey Ward of Derby. Currently operating from Bramblebrook Community Centre, Our Abbey hosts activities on Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 - 14:00.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are For The Public Benefit Of People Living In Stockbrook Area Of Derby And Surrounding Communities: (1) The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty, In Particular By The Provision Of Food, Essential Household Items, And Practical Support To Individuals And Families In Financial Hardship; (2) To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society.for The Purpose Of This Clause ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Financial Hardship, Ill-Health, Disability, Or Other Social Or Economic Disadvantage;(3) The Advancement Of Health, Including Mental Health, By Providing Opportunities For Social Connection, Peer Support, And Access To Information And Services Which Promote Physical And Emotional Health And Wellbeing. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 1 Of The Charities Act 2011.
