Activities
Advancement of the Christian faith through sport. We bring together Christian athletes and coaches for fellowship, discipleship, outreach and pastoral support; present the Christian gospel within sporting contexts; run events and leadership training; and support like-minded charities. Operating across the UK and internationally.
Objects: 3.1. The Purposes Of The CIO Are:3.1.1. The Advancement Of The Christian Faith In Accordance With The Statement Of Faith For The Public Benefit In Such Parts Of The United Kingdom Or The World As The Charity Trustees May From Time To Time Think Fit, Including But Not Limited To:a) To Bring Together Christian Athletes And Coaches, Present And Former, Lay Persons And Clergy, Who Expressly Desire To Advance The Ministry Of Jesus Christ Throughout The World In All Realms Of Life;b) To Present To Athletes And Coaches In The United Kingdom And The World, And All Whom They Influence, The Challenge And Adventure Of Receiving Jesus Christ As Saviour And Lord And Of Serving Him In Their Relationships And In The Fellowship Of The Church;c) To Carry Out The Teachings Of Jesus Christ In Word And Deed, Demonstrating The Love Of Jesus Christ, And To Support, Encourage And Facilitate The Spread And Growth Of The Christian Faith, Throughout The World;d) To Support Other Charitable Organisations, Projects And Initiatives That Are Organised And Operated For Similar Purposes; Ande) To Carry Out Pastoral Care And Provide Encouragement For Those Engaged In Christian Ministryprovided That The Advancement Of Such Purposes Must Be Undertaken In A Manner That Is Consistent With Any Christian Community Statements As May Be Adopted And Amended By The CIO From Time To Time.
