Brightstar Foundation uses sport, including boxing, to improve mental health, wellbeing and life chances. We deliver community-based programmes, mentoring and training that build confidence, resilience and skills, supporting young people and communities across the UK to pursue belonging, belief, peace and purpose.
Objects: 1. To Act As A Resource For Young People Up To The Age Of 25 By Providing Advice And Assistance And Organising Programmes Of Physical, Educational And Other Activities As A Means Of:• Advancing In Life And Helping Young People By Developing Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Independent, Mature And Responsible Individuals;• Advancing Education;• Relieving Unemployment;• Providing Recreational And Leisure Time Activity In The Interests Of Social Welfare For People Living In The Area Of Benefit Who Have Need By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Poverty Or Social And Economic Circumstances With A View To Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons.2. To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society Through The Provision Of Programmes Combining Physical Activity, Mentoring And Educational And Recreational Activities.(for The Purposes Of This Clause ‘socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Youth Or Old Age Or Physical Or Mental Ill Health.)
