Activities
HHCDP displays The Harrogate Story exhibition and other exhibitions at the West Park Centre (at the West Park United Reformed Church). It promotes a wide variety of community activities (concerts, lectures, drama, social events, meetings) in rooms of varying sizes. It provides information for visitors and residents about the heritage and facilities in Harrogate, and runs a coffee shop.
Objects: To Advance The Education Of The Public About The Harrogate Conservation Area And Its Special Qualities And To Stimulate Knowledge Of And Their Involvement In The Protection Of Its Character Through Meetings, Lectures, Publications, Exhibitions And Other Means.to Support The Preservation Of, For The Benefit Of The Citizens Of And Visitors To Harrogate And Of The Nation At Large, The Heritage Within The Harrogate Conservation Area As Identified In The Harrogate Conservation Area Appraisal And To Support The Preservation And Community Use Of West Park United Reformed Church, Victoria Avenue, Harrogate.to Provide And Maintain A Community Centre For The Use Of The People In The Local Harrogate Community And Surrounding Area And Visitors To The Area, Without Distinction Of Gender, Sexual Orientation, Age, Disability, Nationality, Race Or Political, Religious Or Other Opinions, Including Use Of The Community Centre For Meetings, Lectures And Classes Or Other Forms Of Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The People In The Local Community And Visitors.
