Objects: (1) The Objects Of The CIO Are:(a) The Promotion Of Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With LGBTQIA+ People In Devon And The Surrounding Area (?The Area Of Benefit?), Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Gender Identity, Gender Expression And Sexual Orientation, To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them The Integrate Into Society, In Such Ways As The Charity Trustees Decide, Including But Not Limited To:(i) Providing Safe, Welcoming Spaces For LGBTQIA+ People (And Their Parents/carers, And Allies) To Connect, Gain Mutual Support, And Develop Skills; (Ii) Promoting Activities That Contribute To The Protection And Preservation Of The Physical And Mental Health And Well-Being Of LGBTQIA+ People; And(iii) Providing Emotional And Practical Advice And Support Services To LGBTQIA+ Young People And Adults; And(b) The Promotion Of Equality And Diversity For The Public Benefit In Such Ways As The Charity Trustees Decide, Including But Not Limited To;(i) The Elimination Of Discrimination On The Grounds Of Gender Identity, Gender Expression And Sexual Orientation;(ii) Advancing Education And Raising Awareness In Equality And Diversity; (Iii) Promoting Activities To Foster Understanding Between Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds Including (But Without Limitation) Members Of The LGBTQIA+ Community; And (Iv) Cultivating A Sentiment In Favour Of Equality And Diversity Including By Raising Awareness And Sharing Knowledge With The General Public. (2) For The Purposes Of This Constitution, Lqbtqia+ People Shall Mean Individuals Who Identify As Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Pan, Intersex, Asexual, And Additional Genders Or Sexual Orientations Not Otherwise Described.
