**Objects:** THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:-- TO ADVANCE THE ISLAMIC FAITH BY ORGANISING AND FACILITATING RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO ) EID CELEBRATIONS, MARRIAGES, AND FUNERALS;- TO PROMOTE EAST AFRICAN MUSLIM CULTURE AND SWAHILI CULTURE BY ORGANISING CULTURAL EVENTS TO PRESERVE THE COMMUNITY’S UNIQUE TRADITIONS, LANGUAGE, AND CUSTOMS;- TO RELIEVE THOSE IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY ASSISTING WITH THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH FUNERALS AND BEREAVEMENT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY; AND- TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS FOOTBALL PRACTICE AND MATCHES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.

**Activities:** We support members of the East African Muslim community in Nottingham by organising religious, cultural and social events, including Eid gatherings. We provide practical and financial support during bereavement, assist with funeral arrangements, and promote wellbeing and community cohesion through social and sporting activities.
