Activities

WAVE Berwick is a grant making charity supporting young people aged 11 to 16 in Northumberland who have been excluded from mainstream education, including those who are home educated following exclusion. The charity funds grassroots organisations, alternative provisions, and, where appropriate, individuals to improve wellbeing, rebuild confidence, and support re engagement with learning.

Objects: To Provide Advice And Financial Assistance To Organisations That Promote Physical, Educational And Other Enrichment Activities To Young People, Particularly Those Aged 11–16, Living In North Northumberland, And With A Focus On, But Not Limited To, Those With Social, Emotional, And Mental Health Needs (Semh), Without An Education, Health And Care Plan (Ehcp), Who Have Been Excluded From Mainstream Education, As A Means Of: (A) Advancing In Life And Helping Young People By Developing Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Independent, Mature And Responsible Individuals; (B) Advancing Education; (C) Relieving Unemployment; (D) Promoting Good Mental Health And Well-Being; (E) Providing Recreational And Leisure Time Activity In The Interests Of Social Welfare For People Living In The Area Of Benefit Who Have Need By Reason Of Their Youth With A View To Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons
