**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO PROMOTE GOOD CITIZENSHIP BY COMMEMORATING, WITH A PHYSICAL MEMORIAL, SOME 6,000 CANADIAN SERVICEMEN WHO WERE STATIONED IN THE PARISH OF FLETCHING OVER THE COURSE OF WORLD WAR II

**Activities:** To create a lasting memorial to the Canadian volunteer servicemen who fought for the Allies in the Second World War. Over 500,000 Canadian soldiers came to the aid of Britain to defeat the Axis forces, a reminder of the strength, loyalty and importance of international alliances.
