## Activities

**Objects:** TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE SCIENCE, PRACTICE AND ART OF HORTICULTURE, WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE CONDITIONS OBTAINING IN LAKELAND, AND WITHIN THE ABOVE AREA TO PROMOTE AND FACILITATE CO-OPERATION BETWEEN ALL HORTICULTURAL ORGANISATIONS AND TO SERVE THE INTERESTS OF ALL HORTICULTURISTS.

**Activities:** The Lakeland Horticultural Society manages the renowned 10 acre Holehird Garden in the Lake District . The garden is developed and maintained by volunteers. It holds a number of national plant collections. It is open to the public every day of the year. Along side this the Society provided education and training  relating to horticulture.
