Objects: To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Native Red Squirrel Population In An Area Surrounding The Course Of The River Caldew, Through The Settlements Of Hesket Newmarket, Caldbeck, Sebergham And Dalston In Cumbria By:a) Supporting The Monitoring & Supplementary Feeding Of Red Squirrels And The Control Of Grey Squirrels In Collaboration With Local Field Volunteers, Landowners, Statutory Bodies And Communities;b) Raising Awareness Of And Educating The General Public In The Conservation And Protection Of Red Squirrels As A Species, The Threats IT Faces And The Need For Conservation Activity To Ensure Its Survival In Cumbria;c) Collating Data And Supporting Scientific/ecological Research And Studies Which Will Assist Red Squirrel Survival As Well As Help To Inform Wider Conservation Work; And D) Supporting Regional And National Partner Organisations In A Way That Advances Red Squirrel Conservation.
