Activities

We support people affected by sickle cell, especially in BAME communities, through health education, family support, fitness, and community events. We empower young people with skills and activities that boost confidence and wellbeing. Through art, culture, sport, and outreach, we raise awareness, build connection, and improve lives.

Objects: 1. To Promote And Protect The Health And Well-Being Of Individuals From The Black, Asian, And Minority Ethnic (bame) Communities, Primarily In Greater Manchester And Leeds And Individuals In Ghana Who Are Affected By Sickle Cell Disease Who Are In Need Or Require Regular Blood Transfusions, For The Public Benefit By; A) Providing A Support Network For Sickle Cell Patients, Their Carers, And Families; Raising Awareness About Sickle Cell Disease And The Importance Of Blood Donation Within The Community Particularly From The Bame Community; B) Educating The Public On The Benefits Of Regular Exercise, Routine Health Checks, And Overall Well-Being; C) Delivering Educational Programs And Awareness Campaigns Through Online Events, In-Person Sessions, Sports Activities, Park And Community Walks, And Other Outreach Initiatives.’2. To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Greater Manchester And Leeds And The Surrounding Area The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants.3. To Advance In Life And Help Children And Young People Through:(a) The Provision Of Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Provided In The Interest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life;(b) Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.
