Objects: The Objectives Of The CIO Are The Preservation And Protection Of Good Health Of The Public In Lichfield And The Surrounding Area By: (I) Providing Immediate First Aid And Basic Life Support In Emergency Situations Prior To The Arrival Of The Ambulance Service. (Ii) Supporting And Assisting Statutory Ambulance Services In The Provision Of Pre-Hospital Care. (Iii) Installing, Maintaining And Promoting The Use Of Publicly Accessible Automated External Defibrillators (Aeds) And Publicly Accessible Emergency Bleed Control Kits. (Iv) Providing First Aid And Medical Cover At Community And Public Events, Either Free Of Charge Or On A Cost Recovery /Commercial Basis, Where All Surplus Income Is Applied Solely To Furthering The Objects Of The CIO. (V) Raising Awareness Of The Importance Of Early Intervention In Medical Emergencies.
