Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:to Promote The Conservation, Preservation And Protection For The Benefit Of The Public Of The Hippo Population In And Around The Turgwe River Region In Zimbabwe, In Particular By Making Grants To Support The Charitable Conservation Work Of Turgwe Hippo Trust (Zimbabwe), Aimed At Protecting And Preserving The Hippo As A Species, And The Environment Necessary For The Species To Thrive, Including:• Emergency Feeding Programmes During Periods Of Drought Or Food Scarcity;• Habitat Restoration And Maintenance Of Natural Water Sources;• Infrastructure And Capital Works That Align With Conservation Objectives;• Employment Of Local Rangers To Prevent Poaching And Illegal Hunting;• Research (Useful Results Of Which Will Be Published) And Monitoring Of The Hippo Population And Their Environment;• Educational Initiatives That Raise Awareness About The Ecological Importance Of Hippos;• Community-Based Conservation Projects That Encourage Local Engagement And Stewardship.
