Objects: The Object Of The CIO Are To Advance Education For The Public Benefit Of The 1947 Partition Of India And Pakistan By:-A) Documenting, Preserving And Sharing Tangible And Intangible Historical Artefacts, Both Digital And Physical, Related To The 1947 Partition Of India And Pakistan, And To Curate And Share Them With The United Kingdom Public At Large, For Educational Purposes; B) Carrying On Any And All Activities Entailing The Documentation, Preservation And Sharing Of Oral Histories From All Ethnic, Religious And Economic Communities Affected By The Partition Of British India In 1947, In The United Kingdom;c) Collecting, Preserving And Sharing Personal Items And Artefacts Associated With The People's Memory Of The 1947 Partition In The United Kingdom;d) Bringing Knowledge Of Partition, Pre-Partition And Post-Partition Histories Into Widespread Public Consciousness Through Any Medium Including But Not Limited To The Following: Creative And Scholarly Expression Through Literature, Film, Theatre, Visual Arts, Multimedia Arts; Academic Research; Developing Educational Curricula For Students Of All Ages; Developing Travelling Or Permanent Exhibits, As Well As Museums, Memorials And Other Public History Centres For Widespread Education On The Histories Of Partition And Its Impacts;e) Assisting Grant Aid And Contribution / Donations To, Finance, Support, Found, Establish And Maintain Any Trust, Society Or Institution Meant For Spreading Knowledge On The Partition, Pre- Partition And Post Partition History And To Conduct Research And Development With Respect To Any Similar Programme;f) Opening, Found, Establish, Assist, Grant Aid And Contribution / Donations To, Finance, Promote, Collaborate, Support, Maintain And Manage Schools, Colleges, Universities, Technical Institutions, Institutions Conducting Courses On The Partition, Pre- Partition And Post Partition; Iss Classification - Unrestricted Page 2G) Granting Fees, Stipends, Scholarships, Studentships, Prizes, Books And Other Allowances, Concessions Or Aid To Deserving Students For Promoting Studies, Training, Pursuing And Collecting Stories Connected To The Partition, Prepartition And Post- Partition Times Or Research; H) Printing, Publishing, Selling, Distributing Books, Magazines, Journals, Bulletins, Periodicals And Encourage Studies On The History Of Partition, Including The Pre-Partition And Post-Partition Periods;i) Setting Up Public Libraries And Museums; Promotion And Development Of Traditional Arts And Handicrafts Especially To Promote The Partition, Prepartition And Post-Partition Stories And History; And J) To Assist, Grant Aid And Contribute / Donate To, Finance, Support Or Help Maintain Any Other Charitable Entity, Institution, Body Involved In Any Of The Objects Similar To The Objects Of This Trust Or For The Advancement Of Any Other Object Of General Public Utility.ii. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With The Relevant Applicable Provisions Of The Charities Act 2011 (And Its Amendments Thereto).(ii) Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With The Relevant Applicable Provisions Of The Charities Act 2022.
