Ipswich Empowerment & Culture Charity supports the wellbeing of people in Ipswich and surrounding areas by providing community, cultural, recreational and social facilities. It promotes social welfare, equality, and racial and religious harmony through education, community engagement and activities.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:(1) To Advance Religion For The Benefit Of The Public In Accordance With The Tenets And Doctrines Of Islam The Provision Of Facilities For Public Worship In Ipswich And The Surrounding Area.(2) To Promote Racial And Religious Harmony For The Benefit Of The Public By Promoting Knowledge And Mutual Understanding And Respect Of The Beliefs And Practices Of Different Religious Faiths.(3) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Ipswich And The Surrounding Area The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants.(4) Any Charitable Purposes For The Public Benefit As Are Exclusively Charitable According To The Laws Of England And Wales As The Trustees May From Time To Time Determine.
