**Objects:** TO RELIEVE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, DISABILITY, BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ILL HEALTH, OR OTHER SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY THE PROVISION OF THERAPY DOGS TO VISIT SCHOOLS, NURSING HOMES, HOSPITALS, HOSPICES AND OTHER SIMILAR INSTITUTIONS, SUCH AS, EMERGENCY SERVICES ACROSS ESSEX.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].

**Activities:** Essex Therapy Dogs charitable objectives aim to help people who are in need by reason of their youth, age, disability, both physical and mental ill health, or other social and economic disadvantage, particularly but not exclusively, by the provision of therapy dogs to visit schools, nursing homes, hospitals, hospices and other similar institutions, across Essex.
