Our Challenges! can be diverse: in the countryside or parkland; on the water (lakes, rivers & sea); in the hills and mountains; on the rock (crags & indoor walls); overnights - in tents, bothies, hostels; or, during the day - just for an hour or more or at night. Anything that falls within the terms of our charitable objects can be set up as a Challenge! With time, nationwide coverage is our aim.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:a) To Promote The Mental, Spiritual, Moral And Physical Development And Improvement Of Young People In Order To Develop Their Full Capacities And Enable Them To Become Responsible Members Of Society.b) To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life.
