Oldham Pride champions equality and diversity for public benefit across the borough. We run the free annual Pride festival and accessible community events in various places across the borough of Oldham. We challenge discrimination, normalise LGBTQI existence, and create safe, inclusive spaces to build positive relationships with the whole Oldham community.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:to Promote Equality And Diversity For The Public Benefit By:challenging Discrimination Based On Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Or Gender Expression, Including But Not Limited To Homophobia, Biphobia, And Transphobia;promoting Understanding, Acceptance, And Respect For The Diversity Of Sexual Orientations And Gender Identities Within The Lgbtqi+ Community;encouraging Inclusion And Building Positive Relationships Between Lgbtqi+ Individuals And The Wider Community;organising Events, Including An Annual Pride Celebration And Other Cultural Or Community Activities, That Highlight And Celebrate The Contributions And Experiences Of Lgbtqi+ People;supporting Lgbtqi+ Individuals To Feel Seen, Valued, And Safe Within Society.
