Activities
Leicester Mammas provides support, information and education to families and women from pregnancy to two years, through one to one, and group support, with a core focus on supporting breastfeeding and safe formula feeding. We deliver evidence-based care through a variety of activities, for residents of Leicester. We link with partners in Publich Health and the NHS, locally and nationally.
Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is, For The Public Benefit, To Promote And Protect The Good Health And Wellbeing Of Parents And Children In Leicester And Surrounding Areas By 1. Undertaking Activities That Promote The Physical And Emotional Health And Wellbeing Of Mothers And Babies, Through The Support, Promotion, And Protection Of Breastfeeding, And By Fostering A Better Understanding Of The Mother-Baby Relationship. 2. Informing, Educating And Supporting Families In The Feeding And Nurturing Of Babies And Young Children. 3. Empowering Communities To Support Breastfeeding Through The Sharing Of Information, Training Opportunities, And Volunteering. 4. Reducing Poverty, Particularly Among Mothers, Babies And Young Families, By Providing Support, Education And Resources To Improve Health, Well-Being And Life Chances.
