**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS, AND TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH, OF PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND ALSO THEIR CARERS / FAMILIES WHO ARE RESIDENT PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, IN CHALFONT ST PETER, GERRARDS CROSS, CHALFONT ST GILES, AND JORDANS IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE.HELPING BOTH GROUPS IN COMING TO TERMS WITH THE CONDITION WHICH CAN BE DISRUPTING TO A NORMAL FAMILY LIFE AND STRESSFUL FOR THOSE INVOLVED.PROVIDING SPECIALIST ADVICE FROM PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED VOLUNTEERS AS WELL AS SIGNPOSTING AND SUPPORT BOTH ON A ONE-TO-ONE BASIS AND THROUGH GROUP ACTIVITIES. PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS / FAMILIES TO MEET ON A SOCIAL BASIS AND LEARN FROM EACH OTHER’S EXPERIENCES.
