**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN WARRINGTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IS:TO ADVANCE THE SIKH RELIGION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY SIRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI AND THE TEACHINGS OF THE TEN GURUS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH:(A) THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS AND LECTURES;(B) PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS;(C) PERFORMING MARRIAGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SIKH CUSTOMS AND RITES AS PERMITTED BY THE ENGLISH LAW;(D) ENCOURAGING AND ARRANGING AMRIT PARCHAR (CEREMONIAL BAPTISM);(E) OPERATING A LIBRARY AND PROVIDING USEFUL BOOKS AND LITERATURE ON DIVINITY, HISTORY, AND THE TEACHINGS OF THE TEN GURUS;(F) PROVIDING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE AND INFORMATION ON THE SIKH RELIGION TO ACQUAINT THE NON-SIKH POPULATION WITH THE SIKH WAYS OF WORSHIP AND LIFE.

**Activities:** Based in Warrington, Cheshire, we preach Sikhism and the teachings of the ten Gurus. We distribute literature to acquaint the public with Sikhism. We operate a library, run a Sunday School teaching Punjabi and Divinity, perform Sikh marriages, and spend funds for charitable purposes.
