Speaking Up Together (SUT) is a user led organisation which promotes self advocacy with people who are learning disabled and/or neurodiverse. We provide education and information to support people, raise awareness of issues, provide workshops, forums, advocacy and general support. Also provideing social and recreational facilities within the community.

Objects: The Charity's Object Is To Relieve The Need Or Disability Of Persons With Learning Disabilities And/or Autism Living In Gateshead, South Tyneside And The Neighbouring Areas, In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Following Means:(a) Providing Education And Information To Support People With Learning Disabilities And/or Autistic People To Achieve Their Full Potentials;(b) Raising Public Awareness Of The Issues Affecting People With Learning Disabilities And/or Autistic People, Both Generally And In Relation To Their Social Exclusion;(c) Providing Workshops, Forums, Advocacy And General Support; And(d) Promoting Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing Such People From Becoming Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society.
