Activities
We preserve, conserve and maintain two Neolithic long barrows that form part of the Medway Megaliths in Kent. We undertake community-based projects and educational initiatives to advance knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the barrows and oversee their upkeep to ensure public access.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:1. To Promote The Conservation, Preservation And Maintenance Of The Two Scheduled Ancient Monuments Listed By Historic England Which Are Neolithic Long Barrows, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Overseeing The Site’s Upkeep And Ensuring Public Access.2. To Advance The Education Of The Public And Increase Public Understanding And Appreciation Of The Archaeology, Heritage And Cultural Significance Of The Long Barrows.
