THE RELIEF OF ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED BY REASON OF THEIR AGE;3. THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OF THOSE WHO ARE UNABLE TO WORK DUE TO THEIR ILL HEALTH OR DISABILITY TO HELP THEM RETURN TO WORK;4. THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF WOODLANDS AND OTHER AREAS OF PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT;5. THE PROMOTION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE CROWN BY PROVIDING AWARDS FOR SOLDIERS OF ROYAL YORKSHIRE REGIMENT AND THEIR ASSOCIATED CADET FORCES, AND ALSO PERSONNEL AND CADETS ASSOCIATED WITH RAF LEEMING.
