**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND RELIEVE NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BY PROVIDING GRANTS, BURSARIES, MENTORSHIP, AND OTHER FORMS OF SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS AND/OR ORGANISATIONS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH:(A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; AND(B) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS.THE CIO WILL PRIMARILY OPERATE WITHIN NEWCASTLE, GATESHEAD, NORTH TYNESIDE, SOUTH TYNESIDE AND SUNDERLAND, BUT MAY EXTEND ITS OPERATIONS BEYOND THESE AREAS AS THE TRUSTEES DEEM NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE ITS CHARITABLE PURPOSES.
