Activities

We relieve poverty and promote community development by providing food support, welfare advice, youth development, community education, and activities that strengthen community cohesion. We deliver services through volunteers, partnerships and local projects across Huddersfield, supporting people of all backgrounds according to need.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are;1. The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty In Huddersfield And The Surrounding Area By Providing Food, Clothing, Goods, Toiletries And Other Items, Grants And Services To Individuals In Need And/or Charities, Or Other Organisations Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty.2. To Advance The Education Of The Public, For The Public Benefit By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities For Vocational Training And Academic Support. 3. The Promotion Of Religious Harmony For The Benefit Of The Public By Promoting Knowledge And Mutual Understanding And Respect Of The Beliefs And Practices Of Different Religious Faiths.4. To Advance In Life And To Relieve Needs Of Young People Through:• The Provision Of Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Provided In The Interest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life;• Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.
