Secondly distribution of funds generated by such activities and events to local and other charities (including Rotary Charities worldwide). ir 11 Our trustees throughout The Period were Simon Marshall, Richard Ramsbotham and th Robin Comerford. Allwere appointed on 27 August 2025-the date the Charity was registered as a CIO. OurTrustees are appointed by the full members ofthe Club who are all also members of the CIO. The policy of The Trust in selecting its trustees was to invite the club to vote on the appointment of members of the Club, who had been Presidents ofThe Club in recent years, as trustees, and it is the intention of the Charity to broadlyfollow that policy. The Club has three categories of members, Full Members, as referred to above, who are Rotarians as defined by Rotary International, Honorary Members, who are former Full Members. and Friends of Rotarywho typicallywish to support The Club and its activities but are not ableto committo Full Membership. IA Our initialfunding came when the Charity was established as a successor organisation to the Rotary Club of Leighton Linslade Trust Fund, charity registration number 1117806 ("The Trust") and in accordance with the requirements of the charity commission the funds in the bank accounts of The Trustwere transferred to the bank accounts of the th Charity on the 24 and 26th September2025 The Charity received money from the activities it carried out in the period including A May Day Fayre open free of charge to members of the public on the Early May bank holiday in 2026 (The Trust staged such an event each yearfor many prioryears). The Christmas Float Activities of the club entailing taking"Father Christmas" to local roads and streets collecting funds, and also the High Street of Leighton Linslade on Christmas Eve. Donations to the Charity in support of"YesWe Can"_ our accessible affordable and sustainable pan disability sporting programme. An annual quiz event-"The Brains of Leighton Linslade" Other events and activities financial details of which are contained in our financial statements for The Period. Where our m ne iss ent We spend money in the following ways Fundingthe administrative expenses of runningthe Charity-these are less than 1 % of the annual income of the Charity, a figure which we are proud of. Investing in advance expenses of the events referred to in paragraph 3 above- these expenses are alwaysjustified by an event specific budget, prepared bythe committee of The Club runningthe event and subject to full scrutiny by the finance committee of The Club. Investment in equipment such as gazebos and catering equipmentwhich is used in the events referred to in paragraph 3 above- in The Period 5.1 % of annual income of the Charity. Spending the money we collect for Yes We Can on sporting activities for the participants. Our CommunityTea Partywas the largest one so far and as entertainment we had local "Glee Singers" who are a non-professional community group and seem to be preferred by our guests over professional singers. We progressed the Defibrillator projectwhich was always intended to be a multi-year scheme, with our first residents owned Defibrillator being installed. Our membership reduced slightly as two members left (intendingto return when family circumstances allow) and one joined. Respective responsibilities and examiner The Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's Trustees consider that an audit it not required for this year (under Section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: Examine the accounts (Under S145 of the 2011 Act). To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under S145(5)6 of the Act) and; State whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examiner's statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention. (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements; To keep accounting records in accordance with S130 of the 2011 Act; and To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirement of the 2011 Act have not been met or; (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
